APSPDCL Domestic Electricity Bill Self Calculations Current vs Previous Year (2019-2020) v (2020-2021)


APSPDCL domestic (LT) electricity bill calculation by yourself to know the unit (1kwh) rate change and increase as bill was generated for two months (March & April 2020).  Previous Year (2019-2020) vs this financial year (2020-2021) unit rate changes and how it has an impact on your bill. This financial year there had been a confusion among people as the rates were increased for the current financial year and also due to this current coronavirus pandemic, the bill for every consumer was raised for two months as there were no readings taken in the month of April2020 (i.e for the consumption of the month of March). Thus a single bill was produced for the month of March & April in which there was change in tariff in between and a confusion was created.




APSPDCL ELECTRICITY BILL UNIT RATES HIKE CALCULATIONS MARCH-APRIL BILLING CYCLE 2020 

MARCH-APRIL 2020 APSPDCL COMBINED BILL FOR TWO MONTHS WITH FINANCIAL YEAR CHANGE IN BETWEEN AND HOW THE CALCULATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE. DUE TO THE SPREAD OF THE CONTAGIOUS CORONAVIRUS, THERE WERE NO METER READINGS TAKEN IN THE MONTH OF APRIL. IN THE MONTH OF MAY, A CUMULATIVE BILL FOR BOTH MARCH-APRIL2020 WAS HANDED OVER TO THE CONSUMERS.

APSPDCL DEMO BILL CALCULATION MARCH APRIL 2020 UNIT RATE INCREASE CONFUSION

Take a closer look at the billing calculation below and check out how the electricity department have calculated your consumption and issued the bill. The meter reading was taken for two months and the total units were halved for each of the months March and April. As there is a financial year change in the end of march, he new unit rates are applied to the last 5 days of the month of March and the next 30 days of month of April.

APSPDCL LT DOMESTIC Monthly Minimum charges FOR CALCULATIONS SELF

-> Single phase supply
->  Contracted load up to 500 W -- 25/month
->  Contracted load above 500 W -- 50/month
-> Three Phase Supply -- 150/month

Consumers whose consumption is more than 500 units per month can opt for smart meters and ToD rebate of  Rupees 1/unit for the consumption between 10 AM to 12 Noon.

The LT Domestic consumers are divided into three groups
Group A, Group B and Group C

-> Group A ->consumers having consumption of 900 units and below during the previous financial year

Group B -> consumption of above 900 units and up to 2700 units during the previous financial year

Group C -> consumption of above 2700 units during the previous financial year.



Group A: Consumption = 900 Units in previous financial year
