SILA THORANAM TIRUMALA

Sila thoranam is two kilometers away from Tirumala Bus stand. This is a natural rock formed in the shape of an arch which is unique and a natural beauty and one of the oldest rock formation dating back to several thousands of years.


meaning garland of rocks, it has has two different types of rocks which are connected by a link, its length being 25 feet and height 10 feet. During the sunrise and sunset, this link rock gets an elegant look.

SRIVAARI PAADALU (TIRUPADA) HOLY FEET OF LORD VENKATESHWARA SWAMY TIRUMALA 

This is situated at the highest point of Narayanagiri and also nearer to Sila Thoranam. It is considered the place where Lord balaji Venkateshwara Swamy first stepped here on Earth. The feet of the lord srinivasa can be seen here and this is a divine sight.

This is also a very nice location as you get to see the whole of the beautiful Tirumala from here. It is about 5 kilometers away from TTD main bus depot and most important places to visit are also close to this magnificent place. You will have to climb approximately 300 steps in the final lap after reaching close to this place by vehicles.


AKASA GANGA TIRUMALA

It is a sacred waterfall (it is said to originate from the holy feet of Venkateshwara (Balaji / Srinivasa / Govinda Swamy feet) on the foothill of Venkatadri Tirumala.


This water is used for daily poojas to the Lord

If you take a bath in this water, it is said to wash away the evils (papam) and bestow you with good fortune.

The couples without children be blessed with kids if they pray by tying thread (a devotional one) to the tree near Akasa Ganga after taking a bath in its holy waters or by just sprinkling these waters over your body.


CHAKRA THEERTAM TIRUMALA

It is said that this place was created due to the impact of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy's (incarnation of Vishnu Deva) Sudharshana Chakra as he created this place for Lord Brahma to perform a penance.


It is also said that the idol of Lord Venkateswara is brought to this location during the Brahmotsvam celebrations. It is almost as if touching the power of God and to experience his magnificent charm if you visit this place.



PUSHKARNI TIRUMALA (MAIN)

This is a lake adjacent to the main Sri Venkateswara temple. Take a bath here and go for darshan.

It is said that Garuda (vehicle mount bird VAHANA) brought this pushkarini from vaikunta (heaven) to Earth for the convenience of Maha Vishnu.

The mukkoti of Pushkarini where several lakhs of teerthams merger happens on Mukkoti Dwadasi (the 12th day of the fortnight of Dhanur Masa) and on this day if you take a holy bath, it is almost equal to taking bath in the holy Ganga.

Most of the famous festivals like Teppotsavam, Avabhrudhasnanam/ Chakrasnanam during Brahmotsavam takes place here in these waters.



SRI VARAHA SWAMY TEMPLE TIRUMALA

It was said that Tirumala was a Adi Varaha Kshetra and it was with this lord's  permission that Venkateswara swamy came to reside here.



It would be seen as a good step when pilgrims first offer naivedyam to Sri Adi Varaha Swami before visiting the Sri Venkateswara Temple. According to Atri Samhita (Samurtarchanadhikara), the Varaha Avatar is worshipped in three forms, Adi Varaha, .The idol of Sri Varahaswami here is that of Adi Varaha. The other two forms of this god are Pralaya Varaha and Yajna Varaha


SRI BEDI ANJINEYA SWAMY TEMPLE TIRUMALA

Sri Bedi Anjaneyaswami Temple which is dedicated to Lord Hanuman is located on Sannidhi Street, opposite to the main temple.



It is said that in the tradition of Vaishnavites, there should be Garuda or Anjaneya opposite to the main temple. hanuman Jayanthi is celebrated here with great fervor.

PAPA VINASAM TIRUMALA

Papa Vinasam (a water flow / fall) waters are treated divine sacred and have healing powers and it is good for both mind and body.


It also has a garden, a reservoir built nearby and dressing roomes for both males and females.


TUMBURU THEERTHAM TIRUMALA

This place is approximately twelve kilometers from Tirumala crossing papa vinasam at the 5 kilometer mark. It is said that Agasthya came there and then the old curse of garuda to his wife who became a toad was restored back to her original form.

It is a walking route only and be prepared to buy all essentials prior to this journey


TTD GARDENS TIRUMALA


This place is another stunning beauty of Tirumala and is beautifully maintained by the establishment. Children will love this park and it is very good area to keep yourself peaceful after Darshan.
